Fishing

Lake Burrendong fishing is one of the most popular activities at the lake. There are plenty of spots to fish from, with a wide variety of species available including Bass, Redfin, Golden Perch, Silver Perch, Murray Cod, Rainbow Trout and Carp.

“The Dong” as it’s known by the locals and avid fishermen is the perfect spot for anglers who want to try their hand at catching some bigger fish by casting and trolling lures.

Boating

The calm waters of Lake Burrendong make it perfect for boating, whether you’re into water skiing or just cruising around on a pontoon boat. It’s a great pick for those who want a quieter, more natural setting. Campfires are allowed in contained pits (check the fire rules first), and the best part is, your dog can come too!

If you’re after a bit of comfort with your lakeside escape, Reflections Lake Burrendong has a few great cabin options to choose from. The Deluxe Cabins sleep either five or seven people, with full kitchens, bathrooms, and roomy living areas—great for families or groups. The Superior Cabin sleeps up to 6 and has everything you need for an easy, relaxing break. All cabins come with air con and verandahs for outdoor lounging. Just note: no pets allowed in the cabins.
